Lebong is a beautiful valley about 1,000 feet below Darjeeling town in North Bengal. Lebong is the place where the initial tea plantation of the Darjeeling hills started in the 1850s. It is also known for its race course.Mineral Spring Village is a tiny hamlet in Lebong, dotted with tea gardens and Orange orchards. River Rung Dung flows through the village. It is a perfect offbeat destination for a peaceful trip with family and friends. Visit in Nov and Dec to enjoy fresh oranges.
This charming homestay is just half an hour drive from Darjeeling. It is surrounded by hills on all sides. River Rung Dung flows on 2 sides of the homestay and is just a walk away. There are 5 cottages of which, 3 are family rooms with king size bed and 2 double occupancy rooms. Extra Mattress can be provided in each room. There are orange trees and a small tea garden on the premises. The only sound that will reach your ears is music of the spring gushing nearby and the birds chirping. You get a beautiful view of Darjeeling city and Namchi from here. The area is full of greenery and is a heaven for nature lovers. This place is also good for birders and those who have interest in Butterfly and bugs. There are chances of spotting deer as well in early morning.

The homestay is managed by an enthusiastic duo of friends – Debanjan Bose and Arun Pradhan. Arun along with his wife Indira and son Siddhant will welcome you. Indira manages the kitchen and Debanjan looks after the marketing and bookings. Arun is a local of Darjeeling and started this homestay with Debanjan in April 2020. Since then they have been welcoming guests from all over the world and are appreciated for their hospitality, food and cleanliness.
