Takdah is a tiny hamlet located at the foothills of Himalayan forest vegetation in the Teesta Valley, West Bengal. This hidden gem just about 21 km from Darjeeling is yet to develop as a full-fledged tourism place. It is known for its verdant spread of tea gardens and British Heritage Bungalows. With well manicured tea gardens, misty meandering roads, pristine nature trails passing through forests, blooming orchids and mountain streams every few yards you walk, this is an ideal place for a relaxed holiday away from all the hustle and bustle of the main city.
Surrounded by forest and tea gardens, this eco-stay gels perfectly with its natural surroundings and offers a perfect view of Kanchenjunga mountain range right from your bed. There are 4 tastefully prepared guest rooms; 2 rooms on the ground floor and 2 rooms on the first floor, all with attached bathrooms. There is a beautiful lawn with open seating spaces, a pool, some fruit trees and a kitchen garden. Go for idyllic walks, pick your own vegetables from the farm to cook a hearty meal, exchange lively conversations with the village residents and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga. And if you are lucky you might see some rare birds and deer roaming around in the premises early in the morning.
