Kurseong is a quiet hill station located on the Siliguri – Darjeeling highway. The town is known for its beautiful vistas, orchid gardens, forested hills, and tea plantations and offers magnificent views of Mt. Kanchenjunga from some parts. It was a small village until It gained importance in 1880, when Darjeeling Himalayan Railway toy train service was extended to Kurseong. The toy train track runs alongside the road. The town has a colonial charm to it with British time schools, churches and other heritage buildings. This small hill-town makes for a great stopover for those looking for a peaceful alternative to Darjeeling.

The home is surrounded by beautiful pine woods and offers stunning views of snow covered mountains. The host is a retired army man and started the homestay recently to provide employment to the locals here. There are 8 guest rooms across 3 floors with a private bathroom with each room. There are ample seating areas, including the terrace, garden and the common living room. It is ideal for large groups and family get-togethers. The homestay can easily accommodate a group of 20-25 people.
