Chamoli is a beautiful town nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand perched at an elevation of 1300 meters above sea level on the banks of river Alaknanda. It is a part of the Kedar Khand and has a number of villages known for the typical Garhwali culture and lifestyles.
It is a beautiful Pahadi home in a quaint village on the banks of a river, 800 meters off the road. Relax in the lap of Himalayas and be a part of the Garhwali culture. Here you will be surrounded by the sounds of forest birds, water streams and cattle. Mingle with the villagers, involve in organic farming, try your hand at local cooking on mudoven and treat yourself to the local cuisine made using organic vegetables and Himalayan herbs. In some days of stay here you will feel like you are a part of it.
The homestay has 5 rooms with all basic amenities. 2 rooms are there on the ground floor with a common bathroom. Similarly there are 2 rooms on the first floor with a common bathroom. In addition, there is a single occupancy room on the ground floor with an attached bathroom. The balcony provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the valley. You can also work from here. Jio and airtel 4g network works well and Wifi can be provided.

Narainbagar is a small picturesque village located in Tharali Tehsil around 30 kms from Karanprayag. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant which is about 212 km and the nearest railway station is Rishikesh at 200 km. From Delhi, Rishikesh and karanprayag sharing taxis and buses are available.

Breakfast includes Paratha with curd or tea, Butter Toast, Omelet or Puri Bhaji. Meals are a combination of north Indian food and local cuisine. Do try the special Kumaoni meal and Bhang ki chatni.

Varun Negi along with his family will host you. Varun was born and raised in Delhi and has experienced everything that a city offers. He pursued all his hobbies from theater and guitar to hosting events and shows and learnt a foreign language and later started a restaurant business in Delhi. He always wanted to come back to his native village and uplift tourism in his location. Being an offbeat location he started with his house, renovated it and started hosting guests.
He is very happy being here with less resources away from a city’s busy life. Now he does treks, hikes, and camping whenever he gets time. People always want to be in the mountains and he feels lucky that he could take himself back to the roots. What he loves about his village is getting togethers with all age groups that he always missed in a city and wants his guests to experience what he feels being here.
