Chakrata is a picturesque hill town in Uttarakhand just 98 km from Dehradun. It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers, at an elevation of 2118 m. Chakrata is known for its serene environs, virgin forests and pollution-free atmosphere. It has a laid-back yet pleasant ambiance; deodar, Himalayan oak and rhododendron cover the hills and everything around is delightfully green. The only built-up area consists of some of the prettiest colonial army buildings, red and green roofed gables complete with rambling roses and wisteria. The hilly town is a haven for nature lovers and wildlife photographers as its forests have diverse fauna and flora. 

Located right where the trek to Tiger fall starts, the homestay has a beautiful mountain view with greenery all around. It has a perfect location to enjoy sunrise from your room. A walk in the vicinity with cool breeze and the fresh rays of the sun in the early morning will refresh you to the core. How To Reach

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (about 114 km away). The nearest railhead is in Dehradun( about 88 km) is connected with major cities .The hill station is well-connected by motorable roads to several major cities of the state. One of the best ways to reach Chakrata by road is by availing a taxi or local bus from Dehradun.

Food

They serve simple yet delicious home cooked pahadi meals. You can have stuffed paratha, plain paratha with saji, poori aloo etc for breakfast. Meals include seasonal vegetables, dal, roti, rice. Non vegetarian meals are available on order.  Vegetables used are sourced locally and are cooked using Himalayan herbs, and hence are very healthy.
