Pangmo Village

Pangmo is a quaint little village in Spiti Valley, 27 km from Kaza on the way to Manali. It is home to 28 families and offers spectacular views of the Spiti river and the valley. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and scaling mountains on all sides, the village is yet untainted by tourists. It has a local nunnery that you can visit any time for a welcoming cup of tea and unforgettable conversations with the nuns. The locals of the village radiate warmth, live in harmony with each other and are always ready for a chat.

It is a traditional Spitian home with rustic interiors and handmade carpets. It has two bedrooms with twin beds, a kitchen and a dining area with a traditional room heater. You may stay in tents pitched within homestay’s compound.  They have a common western toilet and also a dry compost toilet because of scarcity of water in Spiti. The homestay is located right at the ledge of the valley and opens up to magnificent views of the river meandering into the lap of the mountains.
