Silk Route Homestay – Kargil

Kargil in Ladakh is surrounded by mountains from all sides and is a beautiful place with orchards of Mulberry, Apple & Apricot trees dotting its landscape. Kargil has been an important trade center in the past. Traders from different parts of India, China and Central Asia used to trade in tea, carpets, wool, silk and precious stones in olden days and Kargil was known as a historical meeting point. Besides unique landscape and historical importance, there are number of heritage sites, ancient rock carvings, mosques and monasteries, forts and palaces all across the town.

Located in the heart of Kargil, this homestay is one of the best pocket friendly options for a comfortable stay. There are 5 rooms for the guests. On the ground floor there is a family room that can accommodate a grp of 6-7 people and 2 spacious double occupancy rooms. And there are 2 rooms on the first floor. All the rooms have an attached bathroom, television, electric kettle and heater.
