Sukhia Pokhari is a picturesque village 18kms from Darjeeling in West Bengal. If you want to explore the Himalayas and it’s flora fauna and go on short treks, this is the right place. The best time to see outstanding views of snow-capped peaks is during the spring season from April to May and  October to December, though you can visit any time of the year. This homestay is conveniently located on Mirik road and is at a minute’s easy walk from market and cab stand. 

There are 6 spacious well maintained and comfortable rooms for guests. 4 classic rooms are there on the first floor – 2 rooms have double occupancy, 1 has triple occupancy and 1 has quad occupancy. All rooms have an attached bathroom. The location is awesome and you get amazing views of Kanchenjunga from the room balcony & windows. In addition, there are 2 superior attic rooms on the third floor, 1 with the capacity of 3 and other can accommodate 7 people. The attic rooms provide you a picturesque and heavenly view of the mountain range from sunrise to sunset and even in the full moon nights. Host family stays on the ground floor. It is undoubtedly the best place to stay for exceptional hospitality, delicious meals and amazing views.

How To Reach

Darjeeling Railway Station is 17 Km from Sukhia Pokhri. The major railway station near Sukhiapokhri is NJP at a distance of 74 km whereas Bagdogra is the nearest airport at a distance of 75 km. Cars are available to hire from NJP, Bagdogra, or Siliguri which will take you to this village
