Located around 25 kms from Almora in Uttarakhand, Jalna is a small village with spectacular Himalayan views. Built by a group of nature lovers, this experiential homestay in the hills is ideal to unwind from the drills of our modern-day urban lives. This is a space for rest, peace and mindfulness built on the Buddhist practice of kindness and compassion for all beings.
Built amidst an orchard of deciduous fruit trees and evergreen pine and oak trees, this self-contained mini chalet is specially curated for single or couple stay. Located atop the host home, it has its own entrance. It has a wood-lined interior with inbuilt storage shelves, a large window facing the bed providing mesmerizing views of golden sunrises and sunsets and a covered balcony with absolutely stunning views of the Himalayas. You can enjoy the scenic views of Himalayas and the valley from both the bedroom and the balcony. It also has a kitchenette available if you want to self cook. This is open for both short and long stays with the option of self-cooking or cooked meals prepared at host family.
Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the place at your own leisure, roam & relax around the orchard, take walks in the forest trails within & around the property. The surrounding forest & nearby hills with the snowcapped Himalayas as the backdrop creates a lovely frame to lose oneself. The farm and orchard are occasionally visited by a family of a barking deer and her fawn, butterflies, porcupines, and by monkeys during the harvesting. Every day starts with birdsongs and ends with their lullaby.
