This beautiful homestay is located in serene hills of Okhrey which is the major gateway to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and Gorkhey Samaden valley in West Sikkim. It is situated right on the edge of a main road and is 5 min walk away from Okhrey village center with few shops & a rudimentary canteen. The host can help you with Barsey Rhodendron trek that is around 4.5km one way and starts from a village about 10km from Okhrey. 

Surrounded by mighty valleys of Singalila Range, the homestay has 3 neatly maintained wooden rooms with breathtaking views from the rooms. All rooms have attached bathrooms. It is a paradise for bird watchers; wake to the songs of the birds, enjoy your tea watching amazing views from the balcony and if its a clear day you will be able to see millions of stars in the sky and the spectacular night view of Darjeeling town.

How to Reach

Bagdogra International Airport (134 km) is the nearest airport from the homestay. NJP Railway Station (125 km) is the nearest railhead. The route from Bagdogra Airport and NJP is beside River Teesta, followed by River Rangeet after crossing Teesta Bazaar. Hence, hiring a taxi to the homestay along this mesmerizing route for a 5 hour journey is a worthy experience. Cabs are available from Siliguri, NJP, Bagdogra as well as Gangtok for a comfortable journey. The host can also provide the facility of pickup and drop service on a chargeable basis.
