Sarmoli is a small village situated above Munsiyari in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. It shares its borders with Tibet and Nepal. Sarmoli has unmatched scenic beauty with breathtaking views of Panchachuli range. The Gori Ganga river flows right next to it. Plan to visit Sarmoli between January to March to enjoy the breathtaking views of the lofty snow-capped mountains. In summers, villagers host a week-long annual festival called the Himal Kalasutra. During this festival, all the locals join together and participate in a 20 km long marathon along an altitude of 8000 feet. Birding and photography workshops are a part of the festival.
The homestay is located in a peaceful area 2 km from the Munsiyari main market. Panchachuli View from the terrace is amazing. Since the homestay is located at a good height, there is no obstruction in the view. The place is also good for bird watching and studying Himalayan butterflies and moths.
It is a spacious homestay with comfortable, nicely kept rooms, warm beddings for sub-zero temperatures, modern and clean bathrooms with hot showers, a cozy dining area, a vast rooftop terrace. There are 3 double bedrooms and 1 four bedded room with private bathrooms just outside the rooms.
