Lachung is a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim, surrounded by snow covered mountain peaks, gorgeous waterfalls, sparkling streams and fruit orchards. The people of Lachung predominantly follow Buddhism. The ancestry of Lachung’s people can be traced back to the Bhutia, the Lepcha and Tibetans. Despite increasing modernization, Lachung still retains its distinctive culture. Festivals, dances and worship are all important aspects of their day to day lives.
Far away from pollution, noise and chaos, the homestay offers a quiet stay in nature’s silence. There are 3 guest rooms on the ground floor with private attached bathroom in each. First room is triple bedded, second is a twin room and third is a double bedded room. Two of the room has a huge balcony overlooking the mountains. There is a farm focused on 100% organic farming practice. Potato, Wheat, Turnip, Cauliflower, Broccoli etc. are some of the fresh minted vegetables that we grow and serve to our guests.
