Kais Village – Kullu

Kullu is a beautiful town located on the banks of river Beas in Himachal Pradesh. Situated 14 kms from Kullu is this untouched beauty of rural Himachal – Village Kais. The major attraction is Kais wildlife Sanctuary that inhabits different types of Bears, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr and Monals among many other species.

There are many heritage villages like Jana, Soil and Tandla nearby where you can go on a day hike.

In the middle of Rice fields and Plum orchard in Kais wildlife Sanctuary, lies this beautiful homestay. Serene environment, natural beauty, singing birds and rushing stream are few things that best describes this place. It offers a wonderful view of Himalayan village, green fields and mountains around. It is a perfect place to experience Himachali village life. Apricot, Plums, Peach and Apple are main fruits that are grown here.

There are 2 guest rooms on the first floor with attached bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking the valley. Another 2 budget rooms with a shared bathroom are built on the ground floor. All bathrooms come with western toilet. There is a small garden as well where guests can do yoga and can pitch their own tents.

How to Reach 

It is 23 km from Bhuntar Airport and 14 km from Kullu bus-stand. Kais is just 45 km from Kasol in Parvati Valley and 59 km from Gushaini in Tirthan Valley that makes it a perfect base to explore all these places. Bijli Mahadev, Chanderkhani Pass, Malana are some of interesting treks around.

Food

Freshly cooked local cuisine and North Indian veg food is served. Non-veg is available only on demand. Breakfast is served as per your choice like Paratha with curd and local pickles. You must try Lingdi Achar – a local pickle. Puri Bhaji is also available.

North Indian and local Himachali food is served in dinner. Milk comes from own dairy farm, so you always get fresh milk and other dairy products.
