Located on the banks of river Jhelum, Srinagar in Kashmir is the dream destination. If you are looking to explore Kashmir, stay at this beautiful villa tucked away in a lush green quaint neighbourhood by the Nigeen lake. It is run by a Kashmiri couple who takes special interest in telling you about Kashmiri culture. It is a well maintained 50 yrs old house built in heritage architecture of Kashmir. The house had tastefully done wooden interiors and is fully carpeted. With its covered balcony (dub), wooden ceiling (Khatam band), walnut-chests, divans and teak wood pieces, it has maintained its vintage look. There are pieces of artefacts that the couple has collected on their travels.
There are 6 comfortable and cosy guest rooms. There is a common living room where you can interact with other guests and a small library. The lush green garden with the majestic Chinar trees, Pines, Kael, Roses bushes, Tulips, Hyacinth beds, Lilies and some other flowering shrubs and bushes is an ideal place to relax. The premise also has a small orchard with Apple, Pear, Cherry, Plum, Fig and Quince trees and an organic kitchen garden. Stay here for an authentic Kashmiri experience.

Shakila is an enterprising lady and was a literature and communication lecturer in a college in Srinagar. Riyaz is full of knowledge and you will love to sit with him over a cup of tea to have some interesting conversations. They both are super friendly and helpful and will treat you with warmth, respect, and a lot of politeness.
