With its heavenly vistas and rich culture, Srinagar, the capital city of Kashmir is a not-to-miss destination. Located in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood of Srinagar this lovely homestay is at a walking distance from the Mughal gardens – around 1 km from Shalimar bagh and 2 km Nishat bagh and 2 kms from the Dal lake. It is surrounded by lush greenery and you might find yourself mesmerized by the scenic and serene Zabarwan Hills that are in the backdrop. The internet connectivity is amazing for working from home. 

There are 2 spacious and comfortable rooms, all with attached bathrooms. Surrounded by an apple orchards, the house is furnished in Kashmiri style and is equipped with all modern amenities.  During winter they provide electric blanket as well.  There is a lush green lawn with lots of colorful flowers in it. They also have kitchen garden where they harvest potato, saag, onion, tomato, beans, carrot etc. fresh vegetables that are used to cook your meals.

How to Reach

Srinagar Airport is the nearest airport at a distance of 22 km, and Srinagar Railway Station is around 23 km away. You can hire a taxi or an auto from the airport and the station to reach the homestay.

Know Your Host

Musadiq Alam will host you along with his gracious parents. The family is kind, helpful and hospitable. Before starting the homestay Musadiq was in line production and was a national TV presenter. He also wrote 3 books on research and poetry in Kashmiri. His father Mohd Sultan is wonderful human being and has retired from SKUAST Kashmir. Musadiq’s mother takes care of the kitchen and cooks herself for the guests. Be here to experience Kashmiriyat at its best. The family can also help you with organising guided tours and getting permissions where ever required.
