The name “Parunthumpara,” meaning “Eagle Rock” in Malayalam, comes from the terrain that resembles the shape of an eagle. The village is known for its lush green meadows, misty hills, and attractions like the Tagore Head rock formation. It is also a popular spot for observing the Makarajyothi during the Sabarimala Pilgrimage season. Nestled in the serene and picturesque hills of Parunthumpara amidst tea gardens, the homestay is just a stone’s throw away from the stunning Parunthumpara view point.

There are three floors with one spacious well ventilated room on each floor. Each room is designed for comfort, with its own bathroom, all essential amenities, and a balcony that opens to wide, scenic views of the tea gardens. The location is absolutely breathtaking, offering panoramic views of lush green valleys, misty clouds, and the iconic eagle rock. Sit back and watch the mist roll over the endless green valley while enjoying steaming cup of freshly brewed tea. You may also find yourself spotting wild animals at a distance or listen to the symphony of birdsong through the valleys & gently catching the vibes of the calm waterfall flowing just at few meters from the homestay.
