Charasa is an exotically located village, about 14 km from Panamik, across Koyak Bridge in Nubra Valley. Formerly a fortified settlement, it still has the palace and temple buildings. This eco-friendly homestay is located near Charasa Palace, just 100 mtr away from Nubra river. It can be a good base to explore the valley. It is one of the best places to experience local life and culture of Ladakh. The family does organic farming and has livestock. The guests will be treated with local delicacies prepared from organic ingredients. Most of the raw material in the kitchen comes from their own organic farms. Enjoy Khambir with homemade curd during breakfast. Dinner includes dishes like thukpa, skew, timok, paba with tangtur. You will also be served tea with local snacks like markur, matar etc. Do not miss trying local wine called chang.
