This farm homestay is situated in Velhe approximately 50kms from Pune city and 190kms from Mumbai in Maharashtra and is an ideal place for family getaway from Pune and Mumbai. Situated amidst the beautiful Sahyadri hills at the back of historic forts of Torna and Rajgad, the farm comprises a stunning view and a peaceful atmosphere. The host has attempted to strike a fine balance between tradition and innovation, where tradition is revealed through its stone walls and the future is inked in its eco-friendly measures.
The house measures 3,000 square feet and is nestled amidst dense green fruit trees of custard apples, chikoo, mangoes, guavas, jamun and papayas. To maintain the rustic look, it has been constructed with stones and old teakwood following traditional architecture and yet adopting modern sustainable practices like rainwater harvesting and solar energy. The stone walls of the home are made from red stones from the Konkan district, cooling naturally during summer and warming in winter. The floors are lined with Jaisalmer stone tiles that give it an antique look.
The main bungalow has two floors with four rooms and, in addition, there are two independent cottages near the bungalow. Each of the rooms has its own private attached bathroom. The rooms are spacious and well-planned, with big windows admitting abundance of natural light to enter into the rooms, thus making the interior light and warm. There is a middle courtyard that is topped with a clear sheet to protect against heavy rains, forming a welcoming area. This is where you can bond with other guests, friends and family. There is a lovely walk to the river close by and to the hills; you can also pack some art materials, a book, a game and not venture out at all and still spend a couple of days here with your family.

Anirudha and Sucheta, both IT professionals, began their careers in the bustling tech hub of Bengaluru before settling in Pune. Despite their urban lifestyle, the call of their rural roots remained strong. Having grown up in a rural setting playing with cows in their backyard, they wanted to recreate humble living for their family. This longing led Anirudha and Sucheta to embark on this farm project to bring a piece of that rustic charm into their contemporary lives.
Now they have transformed their farm into a welcoming retreat for guests. The couple frequently hosts guests who are greeted with a slice of sustainable life with organic meals and an immersive experience in nature. Anirudha and Sucheta have also appointed a highly trained staff to cater to the needs of their visitors. The caretaker family lives next to the homestay and is available 24/7 to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay.
