Namchi the capital of South Sikkim district, is a small town in Sikkim located at a distance of 78 km from the state capital Gangtok and 100 kilometres from the town of Siliguri. Bagdogra Airport is the closest airport to Namchi. From the airport, one can hire a cab or take a taxi till Gangtok, which is quite near. Buses and jeep services are readily available from Gangtok till Namchi.
