Yangang is a tiny hamlet in South Sikkim surrounded by the rolling mountains on one side and the dense green forests on the other side. It is a lovely destination for spending a weekend away in peace and serenity. Karongthang is a picturesque village on the way around 4 km before Yangang town. It is also a base for some amazing hikes. Maenam Hill situated at an altitude of 10,300 ft that offers a spectacular view of. Mt. KhangchenDzonga and its surrounding ranges is just a day’s hike from here. On a clear sunny day, it is possible to see the plains of Bengal spanning across Kalimpong and Darjeeling hills in the South and right across the Indo-China border towards the North from Maenam.
Nestled in peaceful surroundings this lovely homestay is spread across 3 acres. It is around 200 mtr walk from the main road and provides absolute peace. There are 2 cottages. Host stays in one and the other one is dedicated to guests. The guest cottage consist of 2 rooms with attached bathroom and western style toilets. 6 people can be easily accommodated in the cottage. Tents are also available for larger groups. Smoking is not allowed inside the cottage.
