Situated on the plains of Spiti River in Himachal Pradesh, Kaza is a tranquil getaway lapped by majestic mountains covered in snow, meandering rivers and picturesque vast landscapes. Monasteries, Gompas and other historic wonders add charm to this already magical town. It is the base of all travel activities of Spiti Valley. All important places like Ki, Kibber, Chichem Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Demul etc. are closely connected with it.
This traditional mud house is located in New Kaza near the Spiti river and Kaza Monastery. It is just 2 mins walking distance from the market and petrol pump. It has two floors; the host family lives on the ground floor and the first floor is available for the guests. There are 3 spacious rooms and a dormitory on the first floor. Every room has a traditional fireplace and can accommodate 3 people with an extra mattress; personal tents can also be pitched in the outdoor. There are two common English-style toilets on the ground floor and one common, separate English-style toilet outside the house. There is a library and a common room on the ground floor to sit by the fireplace and dine in winters. Common room is open for guests from 8am to 11pm; it has board games and television.

Kaza does not have an airport, it is accessible by road only from Shimla throughout the year and from Manali mostly from June to Oct when Kunzum Pass opens.

Lobsang along with his cousin brother Nawang will host you here. Lobsang is an Electronics and Communication Engineer and found his passion in mountaineering, adventure sports, and skiing. He is a trained Mountaineer, professional trekking guide, and Ski Instructor from Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali. Nawang is a professionally trained chef who specializes in making sandwiches, pancakes, burgers, delicious Indian Thali dishes, and traditional Spitian dishes. Nawang is also a trained mountaineer and a professional guide. They can also arrange treks, walks, night camping, wildlife sanctuary visit in Kibber, day picnics, village tours and experiences with local families in villages of Key, Kibber, Chicham, Langza, Hikkim, and Komic.
