Tabo is a small village situated on the banks of Spiti River 48km from Kaza. It is the second largest town of Spiti. Tabo is known for old monastic complex that preserves many old paintings and frescos dating back to the 11th century. Apart from its natural beauty and the monastery, it is also known for the caves in the surrounding hills which until some time ago were used by the locals as residential quarters. It is a good base for trip to Dhankar, Lha-Lun and the Pin Valley.
It is newly constructed house at a distance of 50 meter from old Monastery. The architecture is good mix of traditional and modern. There are 6 rooms, 4 Classic Room on the ground floor and 2 Superior Room on the first. All rooms have attached bathroom with all modern facilities. There is a traditional dining space that can accommodate 18 people. There is a beautiful garden in the front. Bike can come till the home and other vehicles till the monastery parking.

Sonam has his own café where he serves all types of food. You may have Tsampa, Porridge, Parantha with curd or tea, Tibetan Bread with butter or jam and Omelet for breakfast. Dinner can be Momos, local Pasta, Indian, Spitian, Italian or Israeli Food or whatever you like from the menu. If you like sweet, try Tsampa Cake, Banana Toffee, Custard or Chocolate Tsampa Ball.
