Jalna is a sub-alpine Himalayan village located at around 25 kms from Almora in Uttarakhand. Nestled amidst an orchard of deciduous fruit trees and evergreen pine and oak trees, this cozy studio is ideal for those looking for a break and take some time off to reflect, meditate, read, write and replenish energies.
This cozy place is built with locally available material by local artisans and syncs perfectly with the serene atmosphere of the village and the forests nearby. This space is perfect for a family or friends get together. With its intricate wood work and beautiful stone masonry by local artisans this is a feast to ones senses, more so because of its visual and tactile aesthetics.
The ground floor of this charming homestay has an aesthetically pleasing queen size wooden bed with angethi (stone fireplace) and a spacious window seat to laze around. The stair bed area above has a queen size wooden futon, a study table and a dressing area. A large balcony (80 sq.ft.) opens to the Himalayan Valley view, making it a perfect place to chill out in the evenings. There is a well-equipped kitchenette, a cozy dining and dressing area on the ground floor.

Pantnagar Airport is the nearest airport (124Km) and Kathgodam (89Km) is the nearest railway station. Jalna village is well connected with road transport from Almora, Nainital, Haldwani and Dehradun. Local taxi services are available from the railway station. The last 750 mtr. of the approaching road is Kuchha country road and driving vehicle should be avoided if it rains or snows. You should be prepared to walk this distance and come prepared for both rains and cold, as in mountains weather can change quickly.
