Manila is a tiny unexplored hamlet near Almora in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Crimson hues of the sun draping the magnificent Nanda Devi, Panchachuli and Trishul peaks is an enchanting view from Manila.  Manila is an abode of local Goddess Manila Devi. It is contoured by lush greenery and panoramic views of the mighty Kumaun Himalayas.

This traditional Kumauni house is set in a secluded village surrounded by picturesque mountains all around. The homestay offers tourists a chance to explore local village culture, organic farming, and spiritual experiences while enjoying the serenity the village. Monolith is an ideal stay for bird watchers, photographers, village life enthusiasts, peace seekers, yoga enthusiasts, senior citizens and nature lovers.

Despite being situated in an offbeat location, Monolith renders basic modern amenities. This traditional cottage is a double-storey house with 4 spacious Kumauni-styled rooms that come with attached washrooms and mini slab kitchens. All the rooms impart vibes of traditional yet vibrant Kumauni wooden rooms. These rooms are airy and have large windows that provide a beautiful view of the Sainkura village. The cottage also has a lobby and a large patio. The owner stays in a separate house in the same village.

How To Reach

Pantnagar is the nearest airport located at 158 kms from Manila. The nearest railway station is Kathgodam at 124km. There is a frequent bus service from Delhi, Haridwar and Ramnagar. A Kutcha Road connects from the bottom of the hill near Manila Devi temple to the village Sainkura.
