Situated at the height of 2,420 m, this picturesque little hill town is one of the most scenic locations in the Kumaon hills. It offers gorgeous views of the majestic Himalayan peaks like Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli and is encircled by the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary houses rare animals, birds and flower species. Binsar is undoubtedly the best place to experience hiking, camping and nature walks.
This eco farmstay is located on the slopes of the hills surrounded by Oak & Pine forests in a small village Kotuda in the outskirts of Binsar Sanctuary. It is nestled deep within a forest and is still approachable by road. This rustic kumaoni homestay is ideal for those looking for peace, tranquility and serene beauty. There are more than hundred exotic species of birds in the surrounding forest and some explored nature trails with caves and waterfall. You can also view the snow peaks from the homestay.
There are 3 rooms. One is a private double sharing mud & stone cottage which is naturally lit & has an amazing mountain view and a kitchenette; then there is a spacious family room with 2 double beds and a single bed, a fireplace (bukhari) and there is a bunk bed dormitory for backpackers & budget travelers that can house 8 guests. All cottages have attached washrooms & a garden space in front of the porch. There are quaint little corners all around with hammocks which are perfect for enjoying evening tea and bonfires.

There is an inhouse kitchen where home cooked kumaoni style meals are prepared from organic seasonal harvest. They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Breakfast options are stuffed paratha, puri sabji, poha, plain paratha with farm fresh seasonal vegetables. Regular north indian meals and local kumaoni meals are available.
