Mystic Himalayan Homestay – Urgam Valley, Chamoli

Urgam valley in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is scenic hamlet located at 2100 meters above sea level, enveloped by snow-clad Garhwal Himalayas and a delectable green spread of forest, farmland, and orchards. It is an ideal hideout with its open spaces and naturally breathtaking landscapes. The multiple hues of the sun, crisp breeze from the snow covered peaks and grand panoramic views makes it an ideal destination for those looking for a peaceful vacation in the lap of Himalayas.

It is an old mud house made from Himalayan wood and stones situated on the famous Rudranath Trek route in Danikhet village which comes in between Barghinda and Bassa Village. An easy well paved path of around a kilometer will bring you to this out-of-the-world Himalayan village house. It provides a picturesque view of the Brahmakamal and Drongiri peaks of the Himalayas. This farm-stay cottage is set amidst the dense Deodar forest, apple orchards, and merrily flourishing rich variety of flora and fauna.

This traditional mud house is a double-storey house with 6 fully functional rooms that come with all basic amenities. There are 2 common bathrooms, one western style and one Indian style just outside the house. The owner also stays on the property but in a separate space. The experience that guests immerse in here is both spiritual and adventurous. You can practice yoga and meditation and go on treks with the host who is a trained yoga teacher and a trekker himslf. This rustic hideout is the zenith of serenity as it lies in a remote Himalayan village. The dangling bells of the cattle, chirping of the birds, distant mild village singing, or ringing of temple bells is the only sound you might hear.
