Delhi – Nainital – Ranikhet – Kausani – Almora – Mukteshwar – Bhimtal – Delhi
Home to a unique culture and celebrated history, mysterious forests with diverse flora and fauna, hidden waterfalls, and surreal lakes, Kumaon undoubtedly has some magical charm to it. The Kumaon Himalayas extend around 320 km from the Sutlej River to the Kali River, inhabiting rustic villages dotted with medieval stone temples. The Kumauni people have a rich culture and heritage untouched by modernity. This trip is a journey into the heart of the Himalayas to experience untainted nature and vibrant life in Himalayan Villages.
Day 1: Delhi to Nainital (320 km | 7-8 hrs)
Start early from Delhi and drive through NH9, passing Moradabad and Haldwani. Stop for breakfast at Gajraula before continuing towards the hills. Upon arrival, check into your homestay and relax. In the evening, take a stroll along Mall Road, visit Naina Devi Temple, and enjoy a boat ride on Naini Lake. Wrap up the day with a scenic view from Thandi Sadak. Overnight stay in Nainital.
Day 2: Nainital to Ranikhet (60 km | 2 hrs)
After breakfast, visit Snow View Point or take a ropeway ride for panoramic Himalayan views. Explore Tiffin Top and Eco Cave Gardens before departing for Ranikhet. En route, visit Kainchi Dham, a famous spiritual site. Upon arrival in Ranikhet, visit Jhula Devi Temple, Chaubatia Gardens, and the Army Golf Course. End the day with a peaceful sunset at Majhkhali Viewpoint. Overnight stay in Ranikhet.
Day 3: Ranikhet to Kausani (60 km | 2 hrs)
Enjoy a morning walk amidst pine forests before leaving for Kausani. In Kausani, visit Anasakti Ashram, where Gandhi ji once stayed, and enjoy breathtaking views of Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks. Later, explore Rudradhari Waterfall and Kausani Tea Estate. Wrap up the day with a stunning sunset from Kausani Viewpoint. Overnight stay in Kausani.
Day 4: Kausani to Almora (55 km | 2 hrs)
After breakfast, visit the Baijnath Temple, an ancient Shiva temple near Kausani. Drive towards Almora, stopping at Kasar Devi Temple, a spiritual retreat known for its strong cosmic energy. Explore Bright End Corner, Lal Bazaar, and Govind Ballabh Pant Museum. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk at Simtola Eco Park and try local delicacies like Bal Mithai. Overnight stay in Almora.
Day 5: Almora to Mukteshwar (50 km | 2 hrs)
Drive through scenic pine forests to Mukteshwar, a serene hill station known for its adventure and spirituality. Visit the Mukteshwar Temple, perched on a cliff, and explore Chauli Ki Jali, famous for rock climbing and stunning valley views. Take a walk through Bhalu Gaad Waterfalls and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. In the evening, relax at our homestay with panoramic Himalayan views. Overnight stay in Mukteshwar.
Day 6: Mukteshwar to Bhimtal (45 km | 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive towards Bhimtal, stopping at Ghorakhal Temple and the Tea Gardens of Shyamkhet. In Bhimtal, visit Bhimtal Lake, enjoy boating, and explore the Island Aquarium. Visit Hidimba Parvat and take a short trek to Vankhandi Ashram. Spend a relaxing evening by Naukuchiatal Lake, known for its nine corners and peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in Bhimtal.
Day 7: Bhimtal to Delhi (300 km | 7-8 hrs)
After an early breakfast, start your return journey to Delhi. Take short breaks at Kathgodam or Haldwani for some local shopping and fresh fruits. Enjoy a scenic drive back, stopping for lunch at Gajraula. Arrive in Delhi by evening, marking the end of a rejuvenating Uttarakhand trip.

2. If the client does not attend/complete the trip or consume benefits included in the price, he/she will have no right to claim a refund.
3. The trip will be confirmed on an advance of 50% payment. The balance is to be paid before the trip starts.

This Kumaon trip, hosted by Homestays of India, was an incredible experience. The food was exceptional, and the homestays felt like home, with warm hospitality and cozy rooms.
