Just around 6hrs drive from Delhi, Lansdowne is a quaint little hamlet in Uttarakhand dotted with pines and oak. Close proximity to the capital city makes it an ideal place to visit for quick weekend breaks. Lansdowne was established by the British as a cantonment and is named after the then Viceroy of India, Lord Lansdowne and has a colonial old world charm. Today, it is the headquarters of the Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army. The best way to explore this little heaven is on foot. Enjoy serene nature trails, visit buzzing market, relax at cool cafes, and visit old churches and temples.
The homestay is located a kilometer before Lansdowne main town in a peaceful village setting overlooking the mountains covered in pines. Enjoy your morning tea with a cool breeze laden with pine fragrance and chirping birds, get involved with the family in farming, go on a nature trail in the cheer forest and spend a lovely evening looking at the gorgeous sunset from the balcony. It is a perfect place near Delhi to relax and rejuvenate in the natural environment.
There are 4 rooms for the guests on the first floor, all with an attached bathroom. There is a common balcony with valley views that is ideal to spend time chatting with your friends and family in lush green surroundings. The family stays on the ground floor.
