Simana Basti is a village situated at Indo-Nepal border in Darjeeling-Mirik road (West Bengal) at an altitude of 7500 feet above sea level. The village offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga and the tiny hamlets of Nepal. Tea Gardens alongside the roads and across the valley bestows an experience of utmost rejuvenation and relaxation. The hill station receives fresh snowfall during winters which is an add on for tourists to look out for the less explored town. Located near the border, Simana has a lot to explore around, making it a bucket list destination.
It is a three-storey apartment located in the center of Simana Basti. The highlight of the stay is the breathtakingly beautiful 360 degrees mountain view. There’s attention to detail when it comes to their hospitality as well the overall cleanliness of the place. There is a temple and a beautiful handicraft market in near vicinity. Guests can meditate inside the shrine as well as shop some local goodies from the market.
There are 3 big rooms with attached washroom and a queen-size bed in each room along with a couple of single beds. Each room can accommodate four members and the host even provide extra blankets and bedding. The homestay has all the basic amenities for a comfortable stay.
