Yuksom is the first capital of Sikkim, founded by three great Lamas in 1642 AD. It is the place where Phuntsog Namgyal, the first Chogyal (religious king) was crowned. The coronation throne and the oldest monastery of Sikkim, Dubdi Monastery, is still well preserved. Historical town of Yuksum is also the gateway to the Goechala Trekking Point through the Kanchenjunga National Park. All 3 rooms have an attached bathroom. The interiors are in the traditional Bhutia style, with warm furnishings and a homely ambience. There is a common living area and an organic farm in the backyard of the property and can engage in sustainable agricultural practices.
